Bonaire, 01-feb 2013, 05:55
Goedemorgen, bon bini! (al is het bij jullie bijna middag...)
Op veler verzoek ga ik toch een poging doen om met enige regelmaat verslag uit te brengen van mijn, nogal spontaan geregelde, verblijf op Bonaire de komende 2 maanden.
Gisteravond zijn we, na een vlucht van 12,5 uur met tussenstop op Aruba, dan eindelijk aangekomen. De reis duurde lang (al mocht ik wel even 5 minuten in de cockpit kijken dankzij Sander :-)), we konden niet naast elkaar zitten, en door de turbulentie was ook mijn kotszakje niet overbodig, maar tot zover lijkt het de ontberingen waard! Ten eerste al omdat Flamingo Airport, het enige vliegveld hier op het eiland, helemaal roze is, dus ik voelde me gelijk thuis! Daarnaast is het hier 25 graden as we speak (en nog heel vroeg in de ochtend) en ons blauwe appartement ziet er super prima uit. Ik kan niet wachten tot de zon opgaat en ik het ook allemaal bij daglicht kan zien, want het is alleen nog maar donker geweest.
Mijn eerste indruk van de nachten hier is dat ze warm en lawaaiig zijn. Ik begon heel dapper aan een poging tot slapen met het raam open en de airco uit, maar moest hier al naar een paar uur op terug komen. Niet de hitte was het grootste probleem, maar ik werd bruut uit mijn slaap gehouden door een koortje bestaande uit een kraaiende haan, een blaffende hond en een balkende ezel. Een kraaiende haan verwacht je in de ochtend, dus ik dacht dan ook dat het krieken van de dag zich al had aangediend, maar het was 02:45 uur. Inmiddels hoor ik ook grappig vogelgekwetter zoals ik dat uit Artis ken, dus ben benieuwd wat voor fauna hier nog meer rondstruint!
Voor vandaag is de planning om de boodschappen te doen bij Albert Heijn (Nederland, hè), de buurt te verkennen en de koffers uit te pakken. Overigens ging mijn koffer verdacht makkelijk dicht, wat me enigszins zorgen baart omdat dit recentelijk bij een vierdaagse trip naar Marokko niet het geval was en we het nu over 2 maanden hebben. Ben dus benieuwd wat ik vergeten ben!
Ik ga denk ik maar even wat ontbijten, ondanks dat het nog steeds irritant vroeg is (go jetlag).

Reisdetails van Bonaire!

Bonaire, 01-feb 2013, 05:55
Goedemorgen, bon bini! (al is het bij jullie bijna middag...)
Op veler verzoek ga ik toch een poging doen om met enige regelmaat verslag uit te brengen van mijn, nogal spontaan geregelde, verblijf op Bonaire de komende 2 maanden.
Gisteravond zijn we, na een vlucht van 12,5 uur met tussenstop op Aruba, dan eindelijk aangekomen. De reis duurde lang (al mocht ik wel even 5 minuten in de cockpit kijken dankzij Sander :-)), we konden niet naast elkaar zitten, en door de turbulentie was ook mijn kotszakje niet overbodig, maar tot zover lijkt het de ontberingen waard! Ten eerste al omdat Flamingo Airport, het enige vliegveld hier op het eiland, helemaal roze is, dus ik voelde me gelijk thuis! Daarnaast is het hier 25 graden as we speak (en nog heel vroeg in de ochtend) en ons blauwe appartement ziet er super prima uit. Ik kan niet wachten tot de zon opgaat en ik het ook allemaal bij daglicht kan zien, want het is alleen nog maar donker geweest.
Mijn eerste indruk van de nachten hier is dat ze warm en lawaaiig zijn. Ik begon heel dapper aan een poging tot slapen met het raam open en de airco uit, maar moest hier al naar een paar uur op terug komen. Niet de hitte was het grootste probleem, maar ik werd bruut uit mijn slaap gehouden door een koortje bestaande uit een kraaiende haan, een blaffende hond en een balkende ezel. Een kraaiende haan verwacht je in de ochtend, dus ik dacht dan ook dat het krieken van de dag zich al had aangediend, maar het was 02:45 uur. Inmiddels hoor ik ook grappig vogelgekwetter zoals ik dat uit Artis ken, dus ben benieuwd wat voor fauna hier nog meer rondstruint!
Voor vandaag is de planning om de boodschappen te doen bij Albert Heijn (Nederland, hè), de buurt te verkennen en de koffers uit te pakken. Overigens ging mijn koffer verdacht makkelijk dicht, wat me enigszins zorgen baart omdat dit recentelijk bij een vierdaagse trip naar Marokko niet het geval was en we het nu over 2 maanden hebben. Ben dus benieuwd wat ik vergeten ben!
Ik ga denk ik maar even wat ontbijten, ondanks dat het nog steeds irritant vroeg is (go jetlag).

Reisdetails van Bonaire!
Omschrijving:
Bonaire, 01-feb 2013, 05:55
Goedemorgen, bon bini! (al is het bij jullie bijna middag...)
Op veler verzoek ga ik toch een poging doen om met enige regelmaat verslag uit te brengen van mijn, nogal spontaan geregelde, verblijf op Bonaire de komende 2 maanden.
Gisteravond zijn we, na een vlucht van 12,5 uur met tussenstop op Aruba, dan eindelijk aangekomen. De reis duurde lang (al mocht ik wel even 5 minuten in de cockpit kijken dankzij Sander :-)), we konden niet naast elkaar zitten, en door de turbulentie was ook mijn kotszakje niet overbodig, maar tot zover lijkt het de ontberingen waard! Ten eerste al omdat Flamingo Airport, het enige vliegveld hier op het eiland, helemaal roze is, dus ik voelde me gelijk thuis! Daarnaast is het hier 25 graden as we speak (en nog heel vroeg in de ochtend) en ons blauwe appartement ziet er super prima uit. Ik kan niet wachten tot de zon opgaat en ik het ook allemaal bij daglicht kan zien, want het is alleen nog maar donker geweest.
Mijn eerste indruk van de nachten hier is dat ze warm en lawaaiig zijn. Ik begon heel dapper aan een poging tot slapen met het raam open en de airco uit, maar moest hier al naar een paar uur op terug komen. Niet de hitte was het grootste probleem, maar ik werd bruut uit mijn slaap gehouden door een koortje bestaande uit een kraaiende haan, een blaffende hond en een balkende ezel. Een kraaiende haan verwacht je in de ochtend, dus ik dacht dan ook dat het krieken van de dag zich al had aangediend, maar het was 02:45 uur. Inmiddels hoor ik ook grappig vogelgekwetter zoals ik dat uit Artis ken, dus ben benieuwd wat voor fauna hier nog meer rondstruint!
Voor vandaag is de planning om de boodschappen te doen bij Albert Heijn (Nederland, hè), de buurt te verkennen en de koffers uit te pakken. Overigens ging mijn koffer verdacht makkelijk dicht, wat me enigszins zorgen baart omdat dit recentelijk bij een vierdaagse trip naar Marokko niet het geval was en we het nu over 2 maanden hebben. Ben dus benieuwd wat ik vergeten ben!
Ik ga denk ik maar even wat ontbijten, ondanks dat het nog steeds irritant vroeg is (go jetlag).

Reisdetails van Bonaire!
Omschrijving:
Bonaire, 01-feb 2013, 05:55
Goedemorgen, bon bini! (al is het bij jullie bijna middag...)
Op veler verzoek ga ik toch een poging doen om met enige regelmaat verslag uit te brengen van mijn, nogal spontaan geregelde, verblijf op Bonaire de komende 2 maanden.
Gisteravond zijn we, na een vlucht van 12,5 uur met tussenstop op Aruba, dan eindelijk aangekomen. De reis duurde lang (al mocht ik wel even 5 minuten in de cockpit kijken dankzij Sander :-)), we konden niet naast elkaar zitten, en door de turbulentie was ook mijn kotszakje niet overbodig, maar tot zover lijkt het de ontberingen waard! Ten eerste al omdat Flamingo Airport, het enige vliegveld hier op het eiland, helemaal roze is, dus ik voelde me gelijk thuis! Daarnaast is het hier 25 graden as we speak (en nog heel vroeg in de ochtend) en ons blauwe appartement ziet er super prima uit. Ik kan niet wachten tot de zon opgaat en ik het ook allemaal bij daglicht kan zien, want het is alleen nog maar donker geweest.
Mijn eerste indruk van de nachten hier is dat ze warm en lawaaiig zijn. Ik begon heel dapper aan een poging tot slapen met het raam open en de airco uit, maar moest hier al naar een paar uur op terug komen. Niet de hitte was het grootste probleem, maar ik werd bruut uit mijn slaap gehouden door een koortje bestaande uit een kraaiende haan, een blaffende hond en een balkende ezel. Een kraaiende haan verwacht je in de ochtend, dus ik dacht dan ook dat het krieken van de dag zich al had aangediend, maar het was 02:45 uur. Inmiddels hoor ik ook grappig vogelgekwetter zoals ik dat uit Artis ken, dus ben benieuwd wat voor fauna hier nog meer rondstruint!
Voor vandaag is de planning om de boodschappen te doen bij Albert Heijn (Nederland, hè), de buurt te verkennen en de koffers uit te pakken. Overigens ging mijn koffer verdacht makkelijk dicht, wat me enigszins zorgen baart omdat dit recentelijk bij een vierdaagse trip naar Marokko niet het geval was en we het nu over 2 maanden hebben. Ben dus benieuwd wat ik vergeten ben!
Ik ga denk ik maar even wat ontbijten, ondanks dat het nog steeds irritant vroeg is (go jetlag).

Goedemorgen, bon bini! (al is het bij jullie bijna middag...)
Op veler verzoek ga ik toch een poging doen om met enige regelmaat verslag uit te brengen van mijn, nogal spontaan geregelde, verblijf op Bonaire de komende 2 maanden.
Gisteravond zijn we, na een vlucht van 12,5 uur met tussenstop op Aruba, dan eindelijk aangekomen. De reis duurde lang (al mocht ik wel even 5 minuten in de cockpit kijken dankzij Sander :-)), we konden niet naast elkaar zitten, en door de turbulentie was ook mijn kotszakje niet overbodig, maar tot zover lijkt het de ontberingen waard! Ten eerste al omdat Flamingo Airport, het enige vliegveld hier op het eiland, helemaal roze is, dus ik voelde me gelijk thuis! Daarnaast is het hier 25 graden as we speak (en nog heel vroeg in de ochtend) en ons blauwe appartement ziet er super prima uit. Ik kan niet wachten tot de zon opgaat en ik het ook allemaal bij daglicht kan zien, want het is alleen nog maar donker geweest.
Mijn eerste indruk van de nachten hier is dat ze warm en lawaaiig zijn. Ik begon heel dapper aan een poging tot slapen met het raam open en de airco uit, maar moest hier al naar een paar uur op terug komen. Niet de hitte was het grootste probleem, maar ik werd bruut uit mijn slaap gehouden door een koortje bestaande uit een kraaiende haan, een blaffende hond en een balkende ezel. Een kraaiende haan verwacht je in de ochtend, dus ik dacht dan ook dat het krieken van de dag zich al had aangediend, maar het was 02:45 uur. Inmiddels hoor ik ook grappig vogelgekwetter zoals ik dat uit Artis ken, dus ben benieuwd wat voor fauna hier nog meer rondstruint!
Voor vandaag is de planning om de boodschappen te doen bij Albert Heijn (Nederland, hè), de buurt te verkennen en de koffers uit te pakken. Overigens ging mijn koffer verdacht makkelijk dicht, wat me enigszins zorgen baart omdat dit recentelijk bij een vierdaagse trip naar Marokko niet het geval was en we het nu over 2 maanden hebben. Ben dus benieuwd wat ik vergeten ben!
Ik ga denk ik maar even wat ontbijten, ondanks dat het nog steeds irritant vroeg is (go jetlag).
